Restoring Central Dover will host the Community Resilience Initiative on Friday, September 11, 2026, bringing residents together for an afternoon focused on civic engagement, voter education, individual rights and community resources.

The free community event will take place from 1:00 to 5:00 p.m. at the Dover Public Library,

35 Loockerman Plaza, Dover, Delaware.

With the theme “Your Voice. Our Rights. Our Community. Our Future.”, the Community Resilience Initiative is designed to help residents better understand the civic process, learn how to participate in elections, know their rights and connect with organizations and services available in the community.

Throughout the afternoon, attendees will have access to information and resources focused on:

  • Voter Registration: Get the information needed to register to vote.

  • Election Information: Learn more about voting and the election process.

  • Know Your Rights: Learn about your rights as a resident and U.S. citizen.

  • Community Resources: Connect with local organizations, services and resources.

The Community Resilience Initiative is part of Restoring Central Dover’s continued work to strengthen connections between residents and the resources, information and opportunities that help communities thrive.

The event is free and open to the public, and no registration is required. Spanish and Haitian Creole translation services will also be available.

The Community Resilience Initiative is presented by Restoring Central Dover in partnership with the Dover Public Library and the City of Dover.
